This small video will give you practical steps on how to reduce the risk of Identity theft.

Each year 1,000's around the globe are subject to having their identity stolen. Sudden purchases are shown up on your bank statement for things you did not buy.  Apart from the frustration of trying to resolve the issue and to try and reclaim any money that has been spent, you now have the fear that someone is pretending to be you!  Your suspicions become greater and you find it hard to trust people.

During October Glen Office Supplies in association with Fellowes and The Shred Centre are trying to make as many aware as possible of this high risk problem and to offer a basic solution.  A solution that we all should be aware of and that is:

One excellent way to reduce the risk is to purchase either a privacy stamp to go over your address or a cross cut shredder.  Strip cuts are okay but they are not as secure as cross cut as cross cut shred it to confetti size pieces.

How many times we have heard in the news about information that has been leaked and now the company or organisation is facing major law suites or hefty fines? Okay we can't stop people smuggling information out but we can reduce the risk by having a regular destruction of all documentation and waste paper.
